How to be happy as a Programmer

As in every profession, comes with its own unique challenges. A programmer is not an exception to this idiom. There is always a learning curve in most thing in life. Learning how to become a good computer programmer is something that comes with passion, determination and committment. It can be scary from the onset but once you get familiar with the basic principles of programming, you keep adding upon the foundation. It takes quite a long time to build that self confidence you need. Most people give up on this stage but with little push and passion, you move to become a good programmer.

Do not relax yet, one significant issues in computing field is how fast technologies change. Technological changes come with change in taste, a new and better ways of doing things. And to become more relevant, it is naturally to be in constant with technological changes in the field of computer technologies. It is a common practice to keep learning new ideas, being a member of a chosen programming community where questions and answers are shared with other people in related fields.

Balancing time can be relative to different individuals, some individuals with less responsibility can put up more time learning new thing than others. But it becomes more difficult when you have family and other engagements that requires you time. Sticking yourself on chair with your hands on your keyboard all day round is not healthy. Due to the nature of programming job, there is also need to allocate a time for exercise.

This issue affects us in different ways but there is need to take out time to work out the best way to balance your time with your programming life. These are some factors you can put into considering while allocating time.

1. Working time.
Working time in this respect applies to the amount of time that should be allocated to programming work. On average, you have to specify the amount of time you need. There are situations where a project needs additional time in order to meet up with the project delivery time.

2. Family and Friends
Our family is so close to our heart. Your responsibility within your family and friends require a bit of time sacrifice. It is natural to make out time to hang out with friends and family.

3. Vacation and Off-time
This is an important decision we have to take part in at least once in every year. Taking a vacation comes with different style but the basic gain is being away from daily job for once and catch some fun.
